St. Patrick's Day

I never go out for St. Patrick's Day.

But this year, I decided "Why the hell not?"

I called up a couple of friends of mine, and we went downtown to a bar called The Greenlight Lounge. This place is one of the coolest places I have ever been. It is a bar...there are no TVs there at all. There are only board games. NO JOKE! Who would have thought that board games at a bar would be a great idea. But, sure enough...it is. My friends and I snagged Apples to Apples and played a 2 hour game. We played Apples to Apples for TWO HOURS! And of course, we drank...but that's a given seeing as how we were at a bar.

I like the idea that the bar does not have TVs and that it has the board games and a bean bag toss game. I feel like it encourages social interaction. I think it's great. I was also informed that they will allow your dog to come to the bar with you (but only on their not so busy nights).

On another note, I am finally officially hired as a Habititual Technician. It's an awesome sounding job. I went in there yesterday to finish up paperwork and to become certified in CPR and 1st Aid. The kind of scary thing is...the CPR/1st Aid certification course was only 3 hours long, and I'm certified. It's a good thing I've taken those kinds of courses before because if that was my first time ever taking any kind of course in CPR, I would not feel comfortable with my certification. But whatever. I'm certified now, and that's all that really matters.

I'm waiting for someone who is interested in my house to come look at it. I think this girl is a keeper. As long as she likes the house, I'm pretty positive she will move in. We will have to see though. I've learned early in life not to ever get your hopes up about something, because you will always be disappointed. So, I just say "We'll see."

Speaking of not getting my hopes up, those of you who follow me on twitter have probably picked up on a 'him' in my tweets. Don't worry. Once I know what might be happening with that, I'll let you know more.

(Just keep your fingers crossed for me, okay? I really want something good to happen soon :D)
